MY TIPS FOR STRESS

1 min read

When it comes to stress, I will have them every day of my life but I have to learn how to manage them otherwise they will get on top of me and that will have a negative effect on my body and mind.

Over the years I have had to go through different levels of stress. This includes:

  • Losing my Mum at the age of 11 due to Cancer and other family members.
  • Bullying through school
  • Moving into my house.
  • Workplace stresses
  • Meeting new people

And many more to mention.

With other people's levels, some people might be able to cope with these but for some, like me, it can be very stressful.

When this happens, I have to make sure I have a list of things I can do to help keep the stress levels down. This is very important for both my Mental and Physical Health as too much stress all the time could be damaging.

The ways I deal with stress could include:

  • Getting some fresh air
  • Going to the gym
  • Watching some TV
  • Venting to a trusted family member or friend
  • Reaching out to my Mental Health Family
  • Listening to Music.

To some this might not work and other methods might help so I want to note that this is only what helps me.

There are a number of other ways that you could try if your feeling stressed and this could include:

  • Keep a stress diary
  • Do some Yoga and/or meditation
  • Being able to get a decent nights sleep.
  • Listen to podcasts.
  • If you know there is a stressful event coming up then might be worth planning ahead so you can work out a plan for if something does happen.
  • Go on a holiday

And many more to mention.

Just remember that stress is normal but when it starts to get out of control then I would suggest seeking professional help.
